Pusha T Speaks On Cardi B Winning Grammy Award For Best Rap Album Over Him

Cardi B had a controversial win at the 2019 Grammy Awards. Folks online were quite surprised after the Bronx rapper snatched the best rap album category. However, one of the rappers fans predicted to win the category, Pusha T, has now commented on it.

Cardi won the award with ‘Invasion Of Privacy’ ahead of Nipsey Hussle for Victory Lap, Mac Miller for Swimming, Travis Scott for Astroworld, and Pusha-T for Daytona.

The Bodak Yellow crooner was probably the least popular fan choice for the category and they expressed their dissatisfaction in the win via social media at the time. But it appears, Pusha T isn’t surprised and he feels she deserves the win.

“Whoever is making that final decision, it depends on what their taste is. Honestly, it could have been any of us and it ended up being Cardi B. I was like ‘Shit, what can you say to that?’ Pusha said in a new cover story for KAZI Magazine.

“I was in LA when her album came out, walking to the gym. Four miles there, four miles back. I was definitely listening to it and I understood perfectly well how she got it,” the GOOD Music President continued.

“I will say this, they got it right with that category. It was all explainable; you could explain each and every one to me,” he added.
