Nick Cannon Sparks Concern With Tweets: “Y’all Can Have This Planet, I’m Out”
Nick Cannon was heavily dragged on social media following his anti semitic remarks in a resurfaced video that went viral online where he referenced White people as “savages” and saying Black people are the “true Hebrews.”
Cannon has since been fired from ViacomCBS over the remarks. He’s however apologized and also demanded he maintains the full ownership of ‘Wild ‘N Out‘.
“Anyone who knows me knows that I have no hate in my heart nor malice intentions,” he wrote in response to the backlash. “I do not condone hate speech nor the spread of hateful rhetoric. We are living in a time when it is more important than ever to promote unity and understanding.”
Not long after announcing that he would be going live with an interview to address his anti-Semitic remarks, the comedian shared a message on Twitter, saying that he’ll soon be leaving this planet.
I hurt an entire community and it pained me to my core, I thought it couldn’t get any worse. Then I watched my own community turn on me and call me a sell-out for apologizing,” he wrote. “Goodnight. Enjoy Earth.”
In a follow up tweet, Nick further raised more alarm. “Y’all can have this planet. I’m out,” he said.
