Lori Harvey Blasted Over George Floyd IG Post After Condemning Looters

Killer Mike made heroic headlines after his speech at the Atlanta mayor’s press conference on Friday night. The rapper condemned looters taking over the city of Atlanta, damaging businesses and people’s properties.

“I watched a white officer assassinate a black man and I know that tore your heart out. I have nothing positive to say in this moment, because I don’t want to be here,” Mike said.

“I am duty-bound to be here to simply say it is your duty not to burn your own house down for anger with an enemy. It is your duty to fortify your own house, so that you may be a house of refuge in times of organization. And now is the time to plot, plan, strategize, organize and mobilize,” he added.

Killer Mike was praised across social media for his enlightening speech and even got a shout out from Eminem. However, Steve Harvey’s famous daughter, Lori Harvey, also took to her Instagram page to condemn looters.. But fans weren’t buying her words.

After Lori found out that her friend’s consignment shop had been damaged, the Instagram celebrity took to social media to condemn those responsible. “Atlanta y’all took it too far last night smh,” Lori wrote on her Instagram Story.

“My heart is so broken for my friends @nikkisworld and @niceybabyy. I know how hard you guys worked to build SacDelux from the ground up (2 young BLACK women) and I can’t even imagine the pain of watching it get destroyed like that for absolutely no reason.”

The beautiful Instagram model continued, “I’m so sorry this happened to you guys. The looting of @sacdelux_ was absolutely senseless and disgusting. I’m just glad you guys didn’t get hurt in the process.”

Over the past week, I’ve been trying to find the right words but I’m sincerely at a loss. My entire heart goes out to the loved ones of George Floyd, Ahmaud Arbery, Breonna Taylor and every Black life taken at the hands of racism, police brutality, and racial injustice. I can’t even imagine the pain they are feeling. Saying we want justice doesn’t even feel right. True justice would mean that George, Ahmaud, and Breonna would still be here. This is not the system I want my nieces and nephews to grow up in. This is not the world I want them to live in. I know everything feels overwhelming right now but we can create the change we want to see. For ways to help I put a link in my bio 🖤🙏🏾

Lori was dragged across social media and even lost followers over her remarks as people believe she’s only showing empathy for a business rather than the death of George Floyd, who seemed like an afterthought. Then on Monday Lori returned once again, this time with a lengthy message about Floyd’s death.

“Over the past week, I’ve been trying to find the right words but I’m sincerely at a loss. My entire heart goes out to the loved ones of George Floyd, Ahmaud Arbery, Breonna Taylor and every Black life taken at the hands of racism, police brutality, and racial injustice. I can’t even imagine the pain they are feeling.”

But the damage control wasn’t really accepted by folks online as she was dragged once again for her choice of words. See some reactions below :
