IDK Defends Kendrick Lamar’s Silence Amid Protests
IDK Responds To People Calling Out Kendrick Lamar For Staying Silent During Protests
Lots of celebrities have lend their support amid the ongoing protests across the country, fighting to end racism, social injustice, police brutality and seeking justice for George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Arbery, and more.
Those that are yet to react to the issue have been dragged across social media. Kanye West was recently called out on twitter for staying silent amid the protests.
But a follow up report revealed that he is supporting the campaign underground. Kanye’s donated $2 million, so far, to the cause and set up a 529 college savings fund to fully cover tuition for Floyd’s 6-year-old daughter, Gianna.
While Kendrick Lamar is yet to make any official statement or support for the ongoing protests, IDK says people are wrong for coming after Kendrick Lamar over his current silence when he has historically spoken on race issues in America.
Fans expected Kendrick Lamar to have issued a statement on social media, addressing where he stands on police violence and racial inequity. IDK took to twitter to stand up for the rap superstar, telling people to focus on bigger issues.
“People coming for Kendrick Lamar like we don’t know he’s a person that does alot but says little,” said IDK. “I trust he’s making shit happen behind the scenes.”
