Tekashi 6ix9ine & Akon Link Up And Preview New Song “Locked Up” Remix

Legendary R&B singer Akon, has shown his huge support for Tekashi 6ix9ine while Hip Hop heads turned their backs on him for snitching on his homies during his court trial.

Akon even went as far as defending 6ix9ine snitching. “He had to literally decide, ‘What’s more valuable to me?’ My family or my future,” Akon said at the time.

Following 6ix9ine’s release, he wasted no time in challenging Akon to a hit-for-hit battle on Instagram live, which Akon gladly accepted. And now, the two are working on the remix of Akon’s classic hit “Locked Up”.

It’s only a matter of time before the stars took their friendship to another level. In a recent video shared by 6ix9ine on IG, Akon is seen hanging out at the rainbow haired rapper’s house where he has his very own makeshift studio.

Tekashi and Akon can be seen jamming out to a brand new track in which 6ix9ine speaks on being thrown in prison. Akon can be seen bobbing his head and eventually, we hear his hook from the classic track “Locked Up.”

In the caption, 6ix9ine wrote “Locked Up Part 2” and that he is currently in album mode. He also urged his fans to comment on the IG post and said that if he gets 100,000 comments, he will release the song.
