Snoop Dogg: ‘I Should Be In Verzuz With Jay-Z, Not DMX’
About a week ago, DMX revealed during an interview with NORE and DJ EFN on Drink Champs that if he was to battle anyone on Versuz, it would be no other one but Jay Z.
Although there are many of his contemporaries that would be fitting for the duel, X is clearly aiming for the top.
But it appears Snoop Dogg sees himself as the person in position to battle HOV on Versuz. The West Coast Legend claims that he should be the one to take Jay on. “Biggie passed away and then Nas had it for a minute. And then Jay-Z took it and ran with it for numerous amounts of years,” he explained to Fat Joe.

“And then 50 Cent came and ran with it for numerous amounts of years. This is me looking in from the outside, looking at New York rap. So to me, it’s either Snoop or Jay Z. Because he’s been the king of New York around the time I was the king of the west.
Meanwhile, 50 Cent has also revealed that he’s open to battling Snoop Dogg as he doesn’t think it makes sense to go up against Ja Rule in a battle.
The power executive producer suggested it would make far more sense to go face-to-face with Snoop Dogg instead since they both have extensive catalogs.
