People have come out in masses to protest the murder of African American man George Floyd who was suffocated to death by a police who knelt on his neck for hours during arrest.

The city of Minneapolis burned. Protesters began gathering yesterday at the spot where 46-year-old George Floyd was killed by police on Memorial Day.

On Thursday morning, smoke hung over Minneapolis and looters carried merchandise from a damaged Target store with no interference by police.

And now, Martin Luther King III, son of the famed American hero Martin Luther King, is calling for an end to the riots and looting in Minnesota.

“My father said, “A riot is the language of the unheard. And what is it America has failed to hear? …It has failed to hear that the promises of freedom and justice have not been met,” MLK III tweeted.

But Black Twitter isn’t happy with his comments. Black Twitter is an online subculture consisting of Black users on the social network Twitter focused on issues of interest to the Black community.
