DMX Apologizes To Lloyd Banks For Saying He’s Not A Top Lyricist – Mistook Him For Tony Yayo
Legendary rapper DMX made controversial headlines earlier this week after he claimed that G-Unit iconic rapper Lloyd Banks isn’t a top lyricist. He’s now apologized for his remarks.
During an IG live session with Fat Man Scoop last weekend, DMX questioned Lloyd Banks’ prowess as a lyrical rapper.
“Lloyd Banks? Lyrical?” queried DMX after Scoop listed him as one of the best lyricists ever, seriously confused as to how his name even came up. “Lloyd Banks of course,” replied Scoop. “He had some of the illest lines ever.
Lloyd Banks then responded and proposed that he may know the reason why DMX belittled him. “So because I didn’t come to the studio to work when HE reached out..I’m not that good?” pondered Banks.
DMX has now admitted that he was wrong and threw shade at another G-Unit member in the process. “It takes a real n***a to admit when he’s wrong……” wrote the legendary rapper over a screenshot of Lloyd Banks’ tweets.
“My apologies to loyd banks I was thinking tony yayo when I was asked about banks. I fuck with banks!”
