TikTok Repost Lizzo’s Swimsuit Following Backlash

Pop singer Lizzo was raged, when she discovered TikTok has been deleting her swimsuit videos and she blasted the media platform for the act.

“TikTok keeps taking down my videos with me in my bathing suits,” the clip reads. “But allows other videos with girls in bathing suits. I wonder why? Tiktok… we need to talk,” she said.

Lizzo claims other TikTok users are allowed to post themselves on the site in their swimming gear, and she’s wondering why she’s not allowed to do the same. “I’m really cool, I love myself,” Lizzo said on Australian show, The Project back in December. “I get a kick out of it, man. It’s a beautiful thing to watch like wasn’t that amazing?”

A TikTok spokesperson has issued a statement regarding Lizzo’s outburst and said her videos were not taken down due to her shape.

“We love Lizzo and her music has been a driver of so many trends within the TikTok community,” a spokesperson told Teen Vogue. “We love how she uses the app to express herself and share her experience,” the person added and revealed that her videos have been restored.
