Is Cardi B Jealous Of Doja Cat?

Doja Cat and Cardi B almost went at it last year when Doja seemingly mocked Cardi’s intonation on instagram live but she was quick to clarify things.

Doja Cat was imitation Cardi B on her hit song “Press” on live before Cardi joined and left a comment “Do anything for clout …Moo.”

Doja then tag Cardi and Akademiks in a clip of her praising Cardi to clear the air. “Not that this song isn’t fire. This song is so fuego,” she said. “I love Cardi B, but this doesn’t matter because hatred is more entertaining / I make fun of everybody including myself,” she wrote in the caption back then.

But it appears things has turned around in some months. Doja Cat is now the buzzing female rapper and Cardi B seems to be having issues with her and according to reports online, Cardi has “unfollowed” Doja on social media, and the two are no longer on speaking terms.

Cardi burst onto the music scene three years ago, with her hit song “Bodak Yellow.” And she’s been at or near the top of the game ever since. The buzz behind Doja Cat, who has a strong social media following – began growing last year. And in 2020 she exploded in popularity – and now she’s arguably a bigger star than Cardi B.

Last week, Doja Cat surpassed Cardi B on Spotify and has the second-highest monthly listeners with 29 million amongst female rappers. Nicki Minaj remains the most listened female rapper on the platform with 49 million monthly listeners.

And according to one of Doja Cat’s close friends, she suspects Cardi is jealous. The friend told MTO, “Cardi is a jealous person. Doja has nothing but love in her heart for Cardi. [Cardi] should work through her jealousy and come join this movement.”
