There is an ongoing speculation on whether reality star Nene Leakes will quit the Real Housewives of Atlanta TV show or not.

Earlier this week, Wendy Williams made a shocking revelation on what her friend Nene told her on her talk show.

According to Wendy Williams, Nene told her via text that she’s quitting the show. “I took a break between commercials, my office is right there behind the set. I had to go to the bathroom and so I looked at my phone between commercials. And NeNe texts, ‘I’m quitting,” she explained.

Nene has earlier reacted to Wendy, expressing her disappointment in a friend who couldn’t keep private conversation private. Adding that she was only venting when she texted Wendy.

New reports has it that Real Housewives of Atlanta producers are reportedly “desperate” to keep Nene Leakes after reports swirled online about Nene wanting to quit the show.

The reports may well have earned Nene another hefty pay rise, as producers are scrambling to keep her on the popular franchise.

“Show execs do not want NeNe to leave,” an insider told Radar Online. “NeNe is the driving factor in ratings. Her big blowout in Canada was the first episode to hit over two million for the season.”

The source added, “The network does not want to let her go because it is her drama that everyone tunes in for.”

But according to the media outlet, there may be another reason that Nene will not be walking away from the Bravo show, she is locked into a three-year $2.85 million contract.
