Rihanna says she's not a sellout

Rihanna Said She Turned Down NFL’s Superbowl Performance Because She’s Not A Sellout

Vogue recently published an interview they had with Rihanna where she revealed that she turned down NFL offer to perform at the Super Bowl because of Colin Kapernick, saying she “couldn’t be a sellout.”

Couple of months back, Jay Z was a trending topic after announcing his partnership deal with NFL. He was heavily criticized for the deal because Colin Kaepernick is yet to get a job.

Rihanna somewhat showed her disapproval by liking a post that calls Jay Z deal with the NFL shady.

For the first time, we’re getting a first hand reaction from ‘Bad Gal Riri’. She actually sat down for the interview with Vogue before HOV announced the partnership deal.

But her words could not come at a more awkward time as it’s now Jay who’s being accused by some of being a sellout.

“I couldn’t dare do that. For what? Who gains from that? Not my people. I just couldn’t be a sellout. I couldn’t be an enabler.” Rihanna said.

“There’s things within that organization that I do not agree with at all, and I was not about to go and be of service to them in any way,’ she added.
