Kanye West’s “Jesus Is King” First Week Projections Are In
With all of the controversies that surrounded Kanye West’s new album “Jesus Is King” even a non-fan would want to have a copy of the body of work. And just in time, the first week album sales projections are in.
After couple of times postponement, he dropped the album yesterday and it’s been gaining mixed reactions from fans.
Kanye also claimed he has been cancelled before culture cancellation started. Music lovers have been patiently waiting for the gospel themed album first week sales to surface.
As reported by HNHH, Ye’s album “Jesus Is King” is expected to sell 225-275k copies in the first week at retail with 60-85k of that coming from pure sales.
The pure sales largely consist of the vinyl, CD and digital album purchases made through Kanye’s website. CD and vinyl of JIK are still available to pre-order and expected to ship in 8-12 weeks. With these sales, the album is slated to debut at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100.
“Jesus Is King” is on track to outsell Kanye’s last album, Ye, which moved 208k copies in the first week.
