Gina Rodriguez Apologizes Over ‘N-Word’ Video

Actress Gina Rodriguez went viral yesterday after using the N-Word in a viral video. Black Twitter pounced on her and it wasn’t cool that she had to apologize.

She shared a clip of herself saying the N Word as she sang along to The Fugees’ 1996 tune “Ready Or Not.”

“Voodoo / I could do what you do, believe me,” she rapped. Continuing “N*ggas give me heebie-jeebies.”

Just after the heavy backlash, Gina hopped back on live to apologize, “I just wanted to reach out and apologize. I am sorry,” Rodriguez said later on her Instagram story. “I am sorry if I offended anyone by singing along to the Fugees, to a song I love, I grew up on. I love Lauryn Hill, and I really am sorry if I offended you.”

In addition to that, she shared a lengthy message apologizing for her choice of words.
