Trump’s Allies Dissapointed A$ap Rocky Didn’t Say ‘Thank You’ After Release

When A$ap Rocky was still locked up in Sweden following an assault that took place in Stockholm some months back. Trump showed great effort and support to bring the rapper back home.

A$ap Rocky and his team violently attacked a man on the street which was captured on camera and he was detained for it.

Donald Trump interfered in the case saying he’s spoken to Kanye West about Rocky and he’ll be making some calls to the Prime Minister in order to get him out of jail.

After news broke that A$ap Rocky will be going to trial regardless of Trump’s call to the Prime Minister, the aggrieved President took to twitter to express his disappointment in the Prime Minister for inaction.

Very disappointed in Prime Minister Stefan Löfven for being unable to act. Sweden has let our African American Community down in the United States. I watched the tapes of A$AP Rocky, and he was being followed and harassed by troublemakers. Treat Americans fairly! #FreeRocky

Trump continued by issuing a threat to Sweden on Rocky’s case. “Give A$AP Rocky his FREEDOM. We do so much for Sweden but it doesn’t seem to work the other way around. Sweden should focus on its real crime problem! #FreeRocky”

Rocky was eventually released and shortly after convicted with a suspended sentence. After Rocky’s release, people in Trump’s team aren’t happy that the rapper didn’t reach out to say thank you.

According to Yahoo News.. Pastor Darrell Scott, a member of Trump’s transition team and board member of the National Diversity Coalition for Trump, alongside Scott Lanier, were involved in the efforts to free Rocky.

Scott and Lanier were the ones who got Trump to help Rocky and unfortunately, they feel like the rapper is “ungrateful” since he never reached out and said thank you, publicly or otherwise, to Trump and his team.

When Trump spoke to the Swedish PM, there was reportedly tension between Rocky’s legal team and Trump’s team. Scott essentially said that Rocky and his lawyer were “nonchalant” about Trump’s efforts.

In addition, they didn’t get any acknowledgment from the rapper since his release.

“I was like, man, you ungrateful motherf***ers, you. I can’t believe you. … We didn’t ask you guys for nothing other than for you guys to be grateful,” Lanier recalled tellin Rocky’s lawyer. “We just want you guys to be appreciative and say thank you,” he continued.

“All he had to do was do a two-minute call to say thank you,” Scott said. “Rocky hasn’t even called us and said, ‘Hey, man, thank you guys. I appreciate it,’ in private. Just in private.”

Recall, Kamala Harris acccused Trump of misusing power on Rocky’s case.

I think a ‘Thank you’ from Rocky is necessary after all of Trump’s effort regardless of his personal thoughts towards the President. Courtesy demands that.
