Ciara, Russell Wilson & Macklemore Now Part Owners Of Seattle Sounders

News broke some months back when Russell Wilson authoritatively became the highest paid player in the NFL, marking a $140 Million Contract.

Ciara and her husband Russell Wilson have embarked on another power move journey alongside Macklemore. The trio celebrities are now co-owners of an MLS team ‘Seattle Sounders ‘.

Macklemore is a native of Seattles while Ciara and Russell Wilson are living in Seattles. They’ve joined forces with others in the ownership group of Seattle Sounders.

The trio being the celebrities are among eleven families that have joined the ownership of the team ‘Sounders FC’.

Russell Wilson detailed why it’s prominent for him to get involved with the team and the community at large according to the team’s website.

“Seattle means so much to me and Ciara. We’re fired up about being part of the Sounders for a long, long time, having ownership in the Sounders and continuing to build that winning culture,” Wilson explained.

“When I got here in 2012, Seattle was a place that I felt I could call home forever. And obviously because of the Seahawks, and now because of the Sounders, it makes that really come to life.”

He continued : “This city is a special place. The Pacific Northwest is a place we love and we get to raise our kids here and have a lot of fun while doing it. We want to bring the best soccer players in the world right here to Seattle.”
