Cardi B Wins Songwriting Award Despite Admitting She Uses Ghost Writers

Yesterday night was another glorious one for Cardi B and her fans. It was ASCAP award night and Cardi B won an ASCAP award for songwriting despite the fact that she’d revealed in the past that she uses ghost writer.

We reported sometimes ago that Cardi B Wins 4 ASCAP Awards Regardless Of Ghost Writers and she’d done it again. Non Cardi B fans wouldn’t like this news, when she was nominated, it sparked debate as of why she would be on the list when she disclosed she uses ghost writer.

Many called it a bluff thinking she would lose in the category. But to their greatest surprise, she won.

In the video Cardi says, “a lot of people try to discredit me when it comes to my art, but I does this shit. that’s why my name is in those credits.”

Cardi explained last year that she considers herself a good “writer”, not because she write songs. But because she’s able to choose a “hit” song from the many songs presented to her by her team.

To Cardi, choosing the right song that was written by someone else, is considered “writing.”
