Judge Michael Nettles  signed off on solicitor E.L. Clements III’s motion to have Kodak Black hand in blood and saliva samples immediately in his sexual assault case in South Carolina.
Clements wants Kodak’s DNA samples to be submitted in order to compare it to the evidence recovered from the alleged victim.
The prosecutor on the South Carolina rape case revealed that Clements is within his rights to obtain the samples, and it wouldn’t violate Kodak’s constitutional rights. The prosecutor added that it’s considered normal procedure in the cases circumstances.
The popular rapper is currently on tour, but with the charges – Kodak Black will likely have to return to South Carolina in either the summer or early fall – to face a trial.
Prosecutors say that the rapper committed the crime in a hotel room after performing at a concert in Florence. An arrest warrant accuses the 21-year-old rapper of committing the sexual assault in February 2016.
The girl told a nurse at her Richland County high school about the alleged rape. The nurse then informed the school resource officer who brought the alleged crime to the attention of the Florence County Sheriff’s Office.

Prosecutors say that the girl was not a minor when the crime occurred; otherwise the charges would have been different to reflect that. In South Carolina, the age of consent is 16 years old.
