Rumors Have It That Ciara Is Changing Her Son’s Name To Russell Wilson Jnr.

There’s an explosive rumor circulating on social media, that R&B singer Ciara is trying to change her son Future’s name to Russell Wilson Jr.

The report, which made its way across the internet yesterday said:

According to close sources to Ciara, she has filed a petition with Georgia courts to change her son’s name from Future Wilburn to Russell Carrington Wilson Jr., After her husband, Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson.

We are told that Ciara regrets naming her son Future and wants to give her son a more meaningful, distinguished name. Future was born to Ciara and rapper Future back in 2013 and since then the two have [had] many public battles in regards to their son.

We reached out to folks close to Ciara who say that the report is 100% false. One of Ciara’s closest friends explained, “Ciara would never do anything like that. [Her son’s] name is Future Zahir, and that’s what it will always be.”

We’re also told that Ciara and Future have been co-parenting a lot better now. Future, according to our insider, is becoming more a part of Future Jr’s life.

Back in January, Future — who got engaged to Ciara in October 2013, but called it quits three months after the birth of Future Jr.— explained that he felt like Wilson, 30, was far too easygoing when it came to Ciara and her past relationships.

At the time, the rapper’s alleged infidelity was said to have led to their breakup.

He not being a man in that position,” he said during his interview with Beats 1 Radio (referring to Russel Wilson). “You not tellin’ her, ‘Bro, chill out with that on the internet. Don’t even talk to him. I’m your husband! You better not even bring Future’s name up!
