Chicago police are looking for Empire actor Jussie Smollett, and are expected to arrest him for charges connected to his alleged fraudulent hate crime report.

CNN reported today that two law enforcement sources with knowledge of the investigation In Chicago Police believe Jussie Smollett paid two men to orchestrate the assault.

The two Nigerian brothers, who were arrested Wednesday and released without charges Friday, are now cooperating fully with law enforcement, CNN reports.

Jussie Smollett told police that two White Trump supporters attacked him early January 29 and were “yelling out racial and homophobic slurs.” He said one attacker put a rope around his neck and poured an unknown chemical substance on him.

If he indeed lied about the incident, he faces up to 5 years in prison, according to Chicago prosecutors.
