Floyd Mayweather Fires Back At T.I And 50 Cent

A few days back, Floyd Mayweather took to the Gucci store in the wake of a blackface controversy, which led to many in the hip-hop community to disavow the fashion company. Floyd seemed to care little for Gucci’s blunder, and proudly dropped bags unknown.

The act led both T.I. and Floyd Mayweather‘s longtime sparring buddy 50 Cent to issue their own brand of merciless responses, taking to the booth and the Gram respectively.

Floyd took to Instagram to clap back in his own fashion. Mayweather penned a lengthy statement of sorts, essentially calling out the rap game for their fickle loyalties and misguided boycotts.

At the center of it all, their hypocrisy. “In light of the most current boycott and digital outrage, I wanted to take the time to address a couple of issues that I myself have trouble wrapping my mind around,” he begins.

These people are playing hopscotch. First, they’re supposedly boycotting the NFL but as soon as the Super Bowl came around, they were either at the game, watching it on TV or throwing Super Bowl parties. Last week, it was R Kelly, this week it’s Gucci. People boycott for trend but turn around and still shop at H&M and watch the NFL.
