Buhari And Atiku’s Strength In The 6 Geopolitical Zones

Opinion : How Buhari And Atiku stand in the Six geopolitical zone of the country 

1. North West Zone :

North west the biggest zone which has the highest Number of voters according to Independent National electoral commission (INEC) and it’s stronghold of various politician, whether APC or PDP, it’s widely and vividly believed that North West is a zone of APC candidate ‘President Buhari’ in the last general Election against the Then PDP aspirant former president Goodluck Jonathan.
Then Buhari won with a wide margin in that zone.

2. North East Zone :

 North east is the second highest number of voters According to INEC Number of registered voters. It’s the zone of the PDP presidential candidate Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and stronghold of various key political leaders in both Apc and PDP. It’s also the zone of wife of President Buhari ‘Aisha Buhari’

North east consists of Adamawa, Borno Bauchi, Yobe, Kebbi states. It’s a key battle zone between APC and PDP.

3. South West Zone :

 South west zone predominantly  consists of Yoruba’s and it has the third highest number of voters. It is the zone of the APC leader ‘Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu’ and the vice president aspirant Prof.Yemi Osibanjo.

 Not to forget it is the zone President Buhari won vividly in the last election and it’s has a lot of state been controlled by the ruling party.

4. North Central Zone :

The forth zone with the highest number of voters According to the Inec statistics of number of registered voters (sources inec recording statistics ).

It has a lot of prominent politician of the PDP and APC. The zone of Senate president Bukola saraki ,it has different States -kwara kogi plateau Benue Nasarawa state.

5. South South Zone : 

South South Zone is a zone predominantly with ijaw and iteskiri tribe ,has the second highest number of voters among the Southerners ,Its key zone of the PDP right from start of the new Democratic rule ,But recently a lot of defection hit the PDP in the zone.

Key prominent politicians left the PDP, among them are Former governor of Akwa ibom and Delta state respectively ,Godswill Akpabio and Emmanuel uduaghan and their supporters. It is Also the zone of former president Jonathan and James ibori and many more.

6. South East Zone :

South East Zone has the lowest number of registered voters according to INec ,it’s predominantly consists of Igbos, it’s the  zone of the PDP vice president aspirant Dr. Peter Obi and some key PDP members.

it’s widely and vividly believed it is a PDP zone right from start.
