Jada Pinkett Explains Why She Doesn’t Call Will Smith Her Husband

The gossip that surrounds Will and Jada has always been pretty wild but it seems to have slowed down as of late.

There’s been speculation that the couple is getting divorced, having more children, and other nonsense on a regular basis. Now that it’s become clear to people that they’re not leaving each other, they can finally speak out about their relationship without fearing the consequences.

Earlier this year, Will Smith noted that he and Jada no longer refer to themselves as a “married couple” and Pinkett Smith explained the reason why in her recent talk with People Magazine.

The entertainer and host of Red Table Talkspoke to People about the surprising statement her husband made, explaining, “I needed a different form to dissolve all the expectations that I had of a marriage.”

She began to break down the notions that are created in people’s minds when they identify as a wife or husband, noting, “I needed to do that to see Will outside of husband and see him as a human being.

I started dissolving all the ideas and expectations and labels.”
